Beavers, Cubs, Scouts  and Explorers has now finished for the Christmas break.

Return dates are as follows:

Beavers -16th January 2018 6.15-7.30pm

Cubs -17th and 18th January 6.45-8.15pm

Explorers -16th January 7.45-9.30pm

Scouts -15th January 7 to 9pm

Scouts new term 2016/2017.

Beavers/Cubs and Scouts start the new term on week beginning 12/09/2016

Beavers back on 13th September at 18:15-19:30.

Cubs back on 14 and 15th September at 18:45-20:15.

Scouts back on 12th September at 19:00-21:00.

See you all back after the summer holidays.

Cubs and Scouts PGL trip 2016 (Now were back home and all the washing done)

So each year we take our Cubs and Scouts to PGL Adventure during Easter for a fun filled long weekend full of fun activities and despite the early mornings and long days the kids cant wait to go back each year. St George’s Day Parade.

For St George’s Day we are going to carry our flag and go on the march.

We will be parading from the Scout Hut on Brantingham Rd ( near Withington rd) to the church for a short service and then back to the Scout hut.

All Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Young leaders need to be in full, smart uniform which includes dark trousers (no jeans)

Cubs 100 District Camp.

So to celebrate Cubs 100th birthday there are loads of different events taking place all year. 1stwithington Cubs will be going to there biggest camp of the year down at Linnet Clough Scout camp over the May bank holiday 27th-30th. There just isn’t enough room to  write down everything thats happening that weekend so we will just put a few things down to give you and idea. There will be a High ropes course,zorb football,rifle shooting,archery,disco,go karting,rock climbing and thats just to name a few. More info will be given out when we return from the Easter break.

Cubs and Scouts Easter trip to PGL Adventure.

So the Cubs and Scouts are gong on there third annual Easter trip to pgl Adventure in Boreatton Park near Shrewsbury. While there they will all share some nice cosey log cabins and do non stop activities from the minute they get up till the moment they go to bed. Cubs Blackpool pleasure Beach day trip.

To celebrate 100 years of Cubs this year we are having a trip to Blackpool Pleasure Beach on Saturday 6th February.The Pleasure Beach will only be open for the Cubs through out 
the northwest so there will be no queuing for us.

Bag packing at Sainsbury’s Fallowfield. (The Results.)

We went and did some bag packing on Sunday 6th December 2015 and all the Beavers/cubs and Scouts worked well as a team and raised a massive £366.72 to help with the maintenance of our local hut and Withington community hub. So a big thank you for Sainsbury’s in Fallowfield for letting us your your store.
